On offense, Union does have a legitimate passing attack, with very high percentage success on the thrower-to-catcher connection, and the catcher's Nerves Of Steel allows them to snag the ball even in traffic. As your team develops, you will be able to build some very effective long-range ball-hawks and can be more aggressive in trying to pressurize opponents, particularly at kick-off, where a deep kick can really cause slower and less agile opponents to struggle. You will need to play patiently and try and frustrate your opponent by limiting their block and blitz targets while waiting for a mistake. On defense, your default approach will be the double-column screen. You cannot go toe-to-toe with opponents and must master the art of dodging away from them, both on offense and defense, to keep your players safe and mobile. After all your spending you have 25k left over, which lets you add two additional Dedicated Fans and will be very helpful for your subsequent development.Įlven Union is the classic low-armor, high-agility team. One upside of this roster is that you can start with 3 Team Re-rolls, which is more than most other Elven teams can manage. These lightly-armored but agile players will have to do the grunt work of screening and shielding your playmakers. In time you will want as many Catchers as you can, as they have enormous development potential. This build only finds room for one Thrower and one Catcher. These two will be your workhorses and can pretty much do it all. Block is an enormously important skill for all players, especially when starting out, while Sidestep will provide positional value again and again. The two most important players are the Blitzers. Union has many expensive positionals, which means your starting lineups will have to forego some players you will definitely want down the line. ![]()
